The exhibition:
Read Carefully: Kult Presents An Exhibition on Books
In line with the newly released issue XI, Kult Magazine presents a selection of book covers that have been re-designed by over 50 of the most exciting names currently working in visual culture. Each artist has chosen a book which has influenced who they are today and then interpreted the cover in their own style with the aim to re-introduce these books back into mainstream culture.

The exhibition runs from 25th April to 25th May (weekdays between 11am to 6pm & weekends upon appointment).

The party:
Funk, soul, reggae and more from DJs; Rumshot (dub skank’in hifi), Shellsuit (Pushin’On), Kiat (Syndicate) with Aidan on percussion. Live drawing by eeshaun and screen-printing by Mojoko (t-shirts available to buy, or bring your own round-necked plain t-shirt for printing – light colours work best). Reasonably priced drinks and food from Woods bar available throughout the day.

This is a family-friendly event – kids and well-behaved dogs are welcome to join the fun.

We rely in part on your voracious appetite and unquenchable thirst to make this a free event, so please no outside food and drinks! Bring cash for faster service and picnic mats to enjoy the grass area to the fullest.

Getting there:
Emily Hill is at 11, Upper Wilkie Road, next to the Hangout @ Mt Emily. From Selegie Road or Middle Road, turn into Sophia Road. Keep going until you reach a fork, where St. Margaret’s Primary School is on the right. Stay on the left, which is Upper Wilkie Road. You can drive right in and park on the premises.
If you are taking a train, it would be the NEL. Alight at Little India station and take exit A. Walk into Niven Road, then turn right into Mount Emily Road. Take the stairs going up on the left through Mount Emily Park. Emily Hill is on your left, once you reach the top of the stairs.
If you are walking from Peace Centre, take Sophia Road. Go uphill for a minute then cross over to Wilkie Road (traffic coming downhill). Keep to the right side of the hill and walk straight up until you walk past Le Wilkie, a condominium. You will see a flight of stairs going up on your right. Emily Hill is on your right at the top of the stairs.

See you on the hill!
